This year, Quebec Tobacco-Free Week highlighted the sheer scope of the problem posed by smoking in our society. And the facts don’t lie: in 2012, smoking is still the leading cause of avoidable death in Quebec, with an unenviable average of 28 deaths per day. During the week, you had the opportunity to share your vision of a smoke-free world via the forum and virtual movie ticket, both of which were available throughout the campaign. The campaign gave you the chance to tell your personal stories, which were very touching, and also to publicize the serious consequences of smoking for health.

Between now and next year’s campaign, we invite you to “like” our “Monde sans fumée” page on FACEBOOK. We’ll be resuming our activities for next year’s Quebec Tobacco-Free Week in November 2012.

Thanks for taking part – and please, come back and see us again!
